The nursery is open five days a week from Monday to Friday 0730-till 1800 all year round except most bank holidays (we are open on good Friday as are many local companies and shops). Children attend for a variety sessions to meet the needs of the child and his or her family. At Hickory dickory dock we have set ourselves the challenge of providing nursery care to the highest standards. It is essential that babies and children attending our nursery feel secure and valued and are encouraged to develop a sense of achievement through play and education. We embrace the early years foundation stage curriculum, what children CAN do is the starting point in his or her education rather than what they CAN NOT do. Our creed is that "play is the business of childhood, it enables the child to try new skills and to experiment  with familiar ones, to explore new and familiar situations and experiment with new and familiar materials, without fear of failure. To achieve this all of our 16 staff members are qualified and have been police checked and all have your childs welfare at heart. All children have a key worker who will consider your childs needs individually. We consider it essential to work in partnership with parents and we appreciate your feedback, we are always happy to talk through your suggestions or any concerns you may have.
